It runs the gamut! Items you can put in your cart for curbside recycling include:
- Glass (bottles and containers only): Brown, Clear and green
- Aluminum cans
- Steel cans
- Plastic bottles
- water bottles
- milk jugs
- detergent containers
- Newspapers, including inserts and magazines
- Corrugated cardboard and food/cereal boxes
- Mixed paper
- office paper
- “junk mail”
- catalogs.
- Etc.(look for the recyclable “stamp” on the bottom)
Dos & Don’t-Have-Tos
- You DO NOT have to remove labels or caps from recycled items
- You DO NOT have to crush plastic containers, but you can if you choose to save space
- Please DO empty containers (remove food, drink, etc.) and give them a quick rinse
- Please DO remove plastic bags from food boxes (they are not recyclable)
- Please DO break down larger boxes so they fit in the cart.
Items That Cannot Be Recycled
- Glass (other than bottles and containers) including sheet glass and mirrors
- China, porcelain or ceramic dishes
- Plastic bags
- Cellophane wrap
- Styrofoam
- Paper or cardboard with a wax coating
- Soggy paper or wet cardboard
- Empty oil quarts or other petroleum product containers
- Bulky plastic items like toys and outdoor furniture.
