Headlines
NEW service changes as of July 1, 2011
- Each single-family address is allowed six free bulky pickups within a fiscal year (July 1-June 30). There will be a fee of $50 for each bulky pickup after the first six. This includes both yard waste and household bulky pickups. The current fee for a full truckload is still in effect.
- Owner-generated construction debris will be picked up for a $50 fee. Contractor-generated debris will not be collected.
- Household trash will be collected in a City-approved cart only. Other containers or bags placed with the City cart or instead of a City cart will not be collected. Please bag trash placed in the cart to cut down on spills and windblown trash.
Cumberland County Landfill Operations
Cumberland County operates the Ann St. Landfill, Wilkes Rd. Treatment and Processing Facility, Household Hazardous Waste Facility and several Container Sites/Recycling Centers. For information on what is accepted at these facilities and associated fees, please refer to the Cumberland County Solid Waste Management website at www.co.cumberland.nc.us/solid_waste.aspx. If you have questions that are not answered on the website, please call the Ann St. Landfill at 321-6830.
