• Street Maintenance Division

  Our Mission at the Street Maintenance Division is to keep our Infrastructure functional and operational. We work hard to keep our streets free of potholes and our storm drainage system working as it was designed to function. This Division is on call 24 hours a day for emergency situations. We take pride in what we do and how we do it. • Stormwater Division

  In 1987, the United States Congress passed the Water Quality Act of 1987. This Act defined discharges from urban storm sewer systems as point sources of pollution. The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) mandated that stormwater sewer systems be permitted similarly to the permitting process for industrial and waste water plant discharges. The National Pollutant Discharge Elimination Systems (NPDES) rules for stormwater were fi nalized on November 16, 1990.
