The City should also engage its citizens and be recognized as a state and regional leader.
Commitment to the City's core beliefs ensures that the City Council and employees serve with responsibility, ethics, stewardship, professionalism, entrepreneurial spirit, commitment, teamwork.
The City's plan provides goals for the next five years. Attainment of the City's goals will result in greater tax base diversity, more efficient city government, a more attractive city, a growing city with livable neighborhoods, greater community unity, and a revitalized downtown.
The policy and management agendas present Targets for Action for the City Council and management for the next fiscal year. Items on policy agenda require City Council action for completion and are the principal objectives for the City. The items on the management agenda are management initiatives that are largely led and completed by City staff.
